Evening yoga poses

Child pose

Balasana: This is a very easy posture to make. After finishing their exercise routine, people end their exercise with a child pose. This is so relaxing and easy. All you have to do is sit down on your knees and calves. Bend forward with your hands stretched ahead. Your shoulders and ears should have a considerable gap between them. Close your eyes and breath for 5 to 10 seconds. You can hold this position easily for a long time. Do this posture for 30 seconds with a set of 3 times to get rid of headache. Your lower back will also be benefitted from this posture.

Mountain pose

Adho mukha svanasana: Bend forward and touch the floor. Your legs should be away from your hands and form a mountain shape with your body. Place your palm firmly fixed in a place and look back behind your legs. Hold this position as long as you can. Take 5 to 10 breaths in this posture. It stretches your back and calves and strengthens your arms.

Squat

Malasana: The squat position in yoga is technically called ‘Malasana’. A very effective posture for digestion problems and fat burning in your thighs. You can also walk sitting in the same posture. Doing this will open your hips and give it a deeper stretch.

Triangle pose

Trikonasana: Place your feet away from each other. Bend sideward and try touching the knee on the same side. Repeat the same with the opposite side. Inhale while you bend towards the knee. Hold this posture for a few seconds. Exhale while you come back to the same position. It strengthens your knees and saves you from joint pains in the future. Make your bend parallel to your legs.

Star pose

Bound angle pose: Sit on the floor. Make your feet touch each other forming a diamond shape. Place your elbows on the floor and join your palms together. Bend down, breathe, and relax. Aim your head towards your feet. If you feel any discomfort, you can move your leg forward and back to find a comfortable posture.

Seated spinal pose

Artha matsyendrasana: Sit on the floor with one leg folded vertically upwards and the other leg stretched forward. Twist your back your outer side of your thigh with the opposite hands. You hug the knee with the opposite hand. A very good stretching exercise for your back and arms. It strengthens your arms. Inhale to lengthen your spine.

Happy baby

Ananda balasana: This posture may seem but needs a little practice. Lie on your back with your knees folded and calves raised vertically. Touch the ankle and there you go. In short terms, I can say, hug your knees. This posture stretches your thighs and relaxes your back.

Corpse pose

Savanasa: The easiest of all the postures. End your yoga session with this pose. Just lie on your back. Relax your arms and legs. Feel the flow in each part of your body. You feel the relationship of breath and flow in every part of your body. I would suggest you to listen yoga chants during this pose, it helps you to focus more on them.

Corpse pose (with prop)

This is similar to Savasana, but place any object like a pillow under your knees and rest your calves on them. Stretch your arms rotating your wrist. This will be helpful if you are suffering from joint pains. Place your body with every force and relax your muscles.

Conclusion

These are only a few sequences of evening yoga. Follow a good trainer to know the other sets and their benefits. Usually, most of the evening yoga is more of sitting and stretching. Because bending and other postures energize your workout. But stretching relaxes your muscles and provides calmness to your mind.
